window shopping + dessert.

i swear every weekend is ended with dessert. not to mention a few other days of the week. if we didn't walk EVERYWHERE, we'd be obese. no doubt.

i'm not used to taking my camera around with me, but it's getting more comfortable. i also didn't think about huge camera around neck = tourist.

at least 5 people asked us "where yall from?", not to mention the harassing bus tour guide. i was annoyed to say the least, and ed just laughed at me hysterically. next time i'm gonna wear an I LOVE NEW YORK t-shirt and casually stroll down the middle of the sidewalk at rush hour to be authentic.

in other funny news, sam wiggins has a weird rash after his haircut. the vet recommended we put gold bond medicated powder on his belly. which now leads him to smell like a dirty old man, and leaves us with a lot of creative names to call him. i'll keep those to myself.

i really hate to admit this, but i'm always hesitant to bring my camera with me because i don't care to be mistaken for a tourist (born and raised brooklyn girl all the way! i'm sad i don't live there anymore). i know i shouldn't care and i am, like you, becoming more comfortable with bringing it everywhere. but i love that you have a sense of humor about it! you won't even have to wear the i love ny t-shirt because the slow, casual strolling in the middle of a busy street will be the tip-off. oh, and make sure to take up the whole sidewalk so that no one can pass you...

I completely have problems carrying my camera around NYC because I think I look like a tourist too! I'm getting better at it by practicing here on the West Coast, and I think having a really nice professional camera helps too. I am so glad you bring your camera with you though -- you got some great shots. And that dessert! Every weekend definitely should end with a decadent dessert.

I always feel awkward pulling out my camera around campus. I always feel like one of the prospective students. >.< Hopefully I will get more confident about it. That dessert looks so yummy!

I also dont feel comfortable carrying my camera around. I wonder why your cutie got a rash..Maybe they used a new type of a shampoo that his skin doesnt like. Hmm.. Is that brownie with vanilla ice-cream in the last photo? Im carving it so much right now:) haha
Happy Monday, sweetie

Great pictures and I love your outfit! I dont feel comfortable taking my camera out in public places for that same reason! But I do think perhaps you should embrace the whole tourist thing, it sounds like a delightfully funny situation! And I bet the names for Sam Wiggins are pretty funny! Have a happy Monday!
