two sticks and an acorn.

i don't enjoy smoothies in the winter. i always end up in a hypothermic shock running to the bathtub to warm up. but we had some frozen blackberries that needed to be used, so i figure i'd enjoy my smoothie IN the tub. problem solved.

side note: i'm so tired of apples at the farmer's market. bring on the berries and peaches people.

so i'm sippin' my smoothie, all warm in my tub, when i hear sam wiggins start heaving.

side note again: can i tell you how many times i have woken up from a dead sleep to the sound of dog heaves? and do i ever make it in time to save the new sweater rug? nope.

anyway, i figure after 7-8 quick heaves i won't even make it out of the tub to run and push sam onto the hardwood floor.

let him vom, i say. with that, i enjoyed the rest of my smoothie and yelled a "way to go" at sam from the tub.

i had a blackberry smoothie for breakfast. sam had 2 sticks and an acorn... regurgitated.

hey, it could have been worse. remember this?

So I'm not alone? Gus, our Maine Coon cat, only vomits on the one rug we have in our apartment. Good thing we only spent $80 on it and not any more zero's like most rugs cost. We can't ever have rugs I guess, which really sucks because rugs make some houses/apartments more like homes. But he immediately runs to it when he has a hairball. SO annoying!

Smoothies...the best!

aw, poor little guy! it's truly amazing how dogs will eat ANYTHING. i was walking my neighbor's dog once and he tried to eat (oh my god, this so gross. if you just ate, then you might want to come back to the rest of my comment later. consider yourself warned)...a used maxi pad! ick! i couldn't look at him the same for the rest of the day.

ha! i know...i was actually hesitating on sharing that, but it's so funny that i couldn't resist. and luckily, he only attempted. i pulled him away before anything crazy happened. on another note, who was the genius that left that out on a street? i mean, come on.

Oh poor pooch. But perfect tale. But see how chilled out you were with your smoothie? The name says it all...

I actually snorted the water I was drinking up my nose. Amazing.

that's a funny story. I can barely drink smoothies in the winter as well.. too much brain freeze. Maybe I should try your tub trick : )
