my husband rocks.

Monday, March 7, 2011

1. he stops to get me tasti d-lite on the way home even though he's been at the office for 12 hours.
2. he patiently waits with me at B&H while i make an excruciatingly long decision concerning a new camera strap.
3. he always washes the pots and pans.
4. if it's broke, he fixes it.
5. he takes time to let me check out the new goods at j.crew, even though nothing fits him there. have i mentioned he's 6'10"?
6. he kills bugs in the apartment. not that we have an abundance of bugs or anything. but still. he kills them.

sorry to get all mushy on you. but it had to be done. spring is in the air and i'm all giddy. by spring i mean the high for today is 40 degrees. i'll take what i can get.

what does your significant other do that rocks? or maybe it rocks that you don't have a significant other. either way.

He's 6'10"? Crazy! He does rock. What a sweetie!

Shawn always gives me the last bite of something delicious at a restaurant. It breaks my heart for him to sacrifice his portion for me.

Really love this list, especially that he stops on way home from work to get your tasty treat. Also brilliant to have a very tall husband, to reach stuff and just be there as your tall guy. (did a post on this actually about my tall guys)
I do think in the end it's the small things that make it shine! My husband always makes time to pick up my latte in the weekend, doesn't matter how much kids are screaming in the back...
(Plus have not made a decision about my trench coat yet...though do love that one you featured. Not sure why I' m being so indecisive, probably because I know I'll have it forever...)

Mine goes to the store anytime I needs something, vacuums, does the dishes, puts our daughter to bed every night.

Yours sounds great toO! Its refreshing to hear the good things.

G always lets me pick the dessert at restaurants, is always up for a coffee or ice cream run, always cleans the bathroom, always hand washes my dirty pots and pans, and always makes sure my car is clean and in great running order.

Your husband sounds like a keeper in my book!

On Valentine's Day I was the only girl in the office who had flowers delivered. He wrapped my twisted ankle every day. He rubs my back until I fall asleep. God, I love that man!
Awesome post, by the way. Very sweet.

You are one very lucky woman! I've no significant other right now, so I'm working on rocking on my own.

My husband rocks too! I thought mine was tall - he's 6'5" (but I'm only 5'1" maybe 5'2" on a good day, how tall are you?)! I love that mine kills the bugs in our house too, spiders are my worst enemy so that helps me a lot. He also cooks me dinner every night. He also gets up to feed the cat in the middle of the night (we take turns actually, our cat sucks like that) He brings me beer or wine home frequently, plays driver every time we get in the car so I don't have to and supports me while I'm transitioning from my law firm job to (hopefully) opening my own store. So he's pretty rad. Glad we both have such awesome dudes in our lives!

On Saturday, I woke up in a bedroom that was about 80 degrees to the roaring of our furnace and the whining of a drill at 8am. And I thought, that I'm not killing you is a very good sign I love you.

Plus, he goes out for avocados for breakfast, even when it's raining, and lets me keep my Martha Stewart Weddings on the bookcase, even though he tells me they are not technically books. Now all I want to do is give him a giant hug and kiss!
