where's the guest room?

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

we had family visit this weekend and i've been singing miley cyrus' "party in the USA" ever since (not by choice).

i have never lived anywhere that i could offer someone a guest room, and by living in nyc i'm pretty much accepting the fact that i never will.

my guest room* comes with a full size blow up mattress and a queen size fitted sheet. pay no attention to the pigeons cooing in the window, the radiator clanking in your face, or the 4 flights of stairs. also, a 20lb labradoodle may or may not sleep with you. oh, and can you bring your own pillows and towels? we don't have enough. thanks.

wanna stay with us?

*otherwise known as the living room.

That looks like a fun weekend to me. You're wildly lucky to have space for a guest room in NYC. And if I get to sleep with a puppy, I'll stay anytime.

this made me laugh- my family and I actively participate in Couchsurfing.org and we often stay with people who don't have a spare room and despite the fact that we have a guest room to offer I have never had a bad time sleeping on the floor with good company!

I think the charm of NYC makes a living room guest room perfectly fine!
