levain bakery.

i know every new york blogger has talked about levain bakery, so i'm going to do the same.

if we didn't live in a 4th floor walk up and log 5-7 miles per day (i kid you not) on foot, we would both be morbidly obese. the cookies are that good.

we stop by so often they come outside and give sam nibbles of stale scones from the day before. pathetic.

So I've never been to Levain Bakery before. I wonder how long it's been there. Or maybe it was just in some area that I didn't travel to much when I was in college. I'll have to try it soon -- and do the obligatory blog post about it when I do.

That's so cute that they provide puppy treats in addition to human treats!

brandi-
it's an upper west side (and now harlem) establishment. word of mouth may not have made it all the way downtown.

I'm pretty sure I comment every single time you talk about Levin and this time is no different. Seriously, the BEST! Anytime someone asks me for NY recommendations, I will always point them to this bakery. It's probably best that I don't live anywhere near here. The upper west side is dangerous territory for me.

Welcome back from your trip!

I really love the city skyline on the window. That would be a fun DIY (and relatively easy ... if you have a steady hand)
