the obligatory christmas tree post.

so ed won the fight and we got a tree. and YOU were right.... i kind of love it. the twinkly lights have me mesmerized.

it doesn't hurt that we walked to the end of our block to pick out a tree from 2 strapping young scandinavian men dressed in buffalo plaid with perfect accents. whilst we chose our tree, a young couple peaced out with the mother of all trees. this thing was the rock center tree's brotha from anotha motha. we wanted to ask them where they lived and what they did to afford an apartment so huge to hold this herculean fir. or maybe they are spruce trees? i'm not a botanist and the buffalo plaids didn't specify.

we kindly walked away with our 4 foot tree, defeated. but i love her. she is tiny, and skinny, and she smells like the woods.

in other news, sam wiggins hates her and keeps trying to drink her water in hopes that this will kill her.

as always, more photos on facebook.

It looks so great and it brings a warmth to your apartment doesn't it? The only real reason I like having a tree is for the lights at night...and I love your leggings!

I knew you'd be happy that you got one! We got ours on Sunday evening. Frank is totally not excited about the whole thing but I'm so proud and in love. It was my first year having my own tree, so I bought all new ornaments and got two yards of fancy fabric to wrap around the base as a skirt. I'm already sad about having to take it down at the end of the month...

Small tip SW, don't pee on the tree - surefire way to get your parents cranky!

Happy day!

jealous. christmas in LA is just not the same! I swear, this city is un peu... soul-less. counting down the days 'til I fly back to the midwest for the holidays - things are so much more festive when it's cold out!

So glad you gave in.... Christmas trees are always worth it. I would love to find a tiny tree just like that - we have the world's smallest living room. No joke. I should really measure it and submit it to the world record people.

Beautiful tree! (and pup)
