home tour.... my sister-in-law.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012

i promised my sister-in-law i would "apartment therapy" her shabby chic home and i finally got around to snapping some pics. leah lives in newport news, virginia with her husband and 2 daughters.

"jason and i have tried to fill our home with things that have meaning to us. the wooden tea leaf sign came from a shop where i worked in college and the fire hose sign came from a cabin in kentucky my father salvaged before being torn down. our newest addition is the repurposed dresser in the entryway. our mix of old and new pieces give our home an updated and relaxed atmosphere."

I approve of any decorating style that involves the liberal placement of pies around the house!

what a beautiful home. maybe you will come "apartment therapy" my place since I always say I will and then never do. I've even been thinking of sending them over to them since I'm always reading and spying over there.

btw, I answered your question from your comment today if you want to come check it out:) thanks for reading! :)

Beautiful home! I want to go antiquing as we speak. It's so much better to have pieces with a story behind them.
