from pixie to bob.

i realize i'm not defined by my hair, but i was in a funk there for a while. self-confidence hit an all time low during the mullet phase.
it took a whole dang year. a YEAR, i tell you.
ps: the reason i let it grow.

but i find the pixie cut cool on you :)
look at your progress, girlfriend! When I see you I'm going to hug you and kiss you and cut you (hair) and braid you too!
you look beautiful!
Beautiful either way! I've grown out a pixie (used to bring in photos of Anne Heche circa Ellen days to salons) and it was hard!! Feel ya!
The bob suits you (but then again, so does the pixie). And I have to agree with your post on letting it grow out. I've always kept long hair because I like having the choice to dress tomboy-ish, but I still want to feel comfortable and sexy in my own skin by keeping some part of me feminine. It's a nice contrast and it keeps one's style interesting, in my opinion.
I've had near waist-length hair for most of my life and have often daydreamed about pixies, but the farthest I've gone is an angled bob. I've been too chicken to cut it all off-it really is a part of me! I agree that hair is such an important part of a woman's style, and while I think you rock both lengths beautifully, the fact that you feel wonderful in the bob makes all the difference :)
Congrats girl! It looks so cute. I think I have an extra curiousity for your hair cuts because I know who does them.
Oooh, the mullet phase!? So sorry to hear! Your hair looks cute both ways!

You definitely have the face for a pixie cut. My head is too gargantuan to pull off that look. The bob is adorable, too!
I love both. They look good on you. Especially pixie cut is very well on you. I know not many people can pull it off. I did not know you had the mullet time.
The both look fantastic to me! Back in my 20's I had super short hair and bobs. I've been wearing it long, pretty much in a pony tail, everyday for ages. You are inspiring me to try something new!
I think you look fab either way... but yeah a year is a long time to wait for something to grow out! I've had very short hair and very long hair (and everything inbetween) and honestly I can never work out what actually suits me... maybe a wig might be my way forward? ;)
im so on the fence. right now its sofia coppola length and i dunno if i should keep it girly and long (because i miss doing crazy braids for summer) or should i cut tao style?!
I am with everyone. Both styles look amazing on you. But the growing phase... I know how you feel :-)
I loved my pixie. took me more than a year to grow it out, and it was hell. you look great with either or, but I can imagine that the in-between was a nightmare.
petra-
yes! i should have taken photos of the in-between stages. that would have given everyone a chuckle.
You have no idea how bad I wish I could pull off short hair. You look gorgeous either way.
You look fantastic either way, but I totally feel what you mean about the funk. The grow-out phase is awwwwkward! Have I already told you about the amazingness of Viviscal? My hair grows at a glacial pace, but a few months of that vitamin and helllooo extra inches of super healthy hair. Pricey but kinda sorta worth it.
house of millk-
kinda sorta? ha. i needed that a year ago.
I love the bob. Love it.
It took me more than a year to "grow out" my bangs–what is it about hair that's so impossible? But I must say that I absolutely adore you with the bob and feeling beautiful!
i love the pixie look on you. it doesn't look like a mullet to me but it only matters how you feel about it. isn't it amazing how women measure or rate their feelings by their hair...or at least use it to express themselves? I've done the same thing. And now i'm in the middle of growing it out again.
Oh man, that in between stage is SO the worst. Even if no one else notices (and I'm sure they did not) you do, and you feel less than pretty and I know what you mean. I'm glad for your sake you're out of it (at least it seems to me that way, I hope you're not feeling stuck anymore).
You really do look amazing with both. I would die to cut my hair in a pixie!
You wear the pixie so well! But the bob is beautiful, too, and incredibly chic. You can't go wrong!
