would you wear these spiky shoes?
i think i'll leave it to the fashion elite
no linky links this time
just pure random thoughts
ed and i saw anne hathaway in sur la table buying knives
yes, knives
i wanna put sam wiggins in a baby bjorn and take him everywhere with me
how often do you dust?
winter coats and snow boots are officially put away
easter starburst jelly beans are where it's at
i've officially decided i'm gonna sit back and let the colored denim trend pass me by
80's sweatsuit guy was walking crazy circles in central park yesterday
new yorkers are on drugs in the spring
though 80's sweatsuit guy may ACTUALLY be on drugs

I'm sitting back and letting all things neon pass me by. not my color scheme.

The Starburst jellybeans are amazing... but the SweetTart ones will blow you away. I can plow through a bag in a day. Easily.

And the warm weather is currently bypassing Boston. Lame.

I'm also sitting back and letting colored denim go on ahead without me. EVERYONE's wearing them here (Milan, Italy) too - I'm already sick of them. It's like when a song gets overplayed on the radio and gets on your nerves. Let's start a non-colored denim movement!

alessandra-
haha. i'm just gonna keep my bright colors up top.

I'll join you in skipping the colored denim trend and starting the baby bjorns for dogs trend.

mmmm apples and cinnamon...

In other important news, I dust once a week. I hate the thought of cleaning, but enjoy it once I'm doing it. Instant gratification is awesome. So dusting, for me, is awesome.

i'm afraid i would end up hurting myself in spiky shoes. though i suppose it would afford you more personal space in a crowd.

skipping the colored jean trend as well. but i like the oxfords trend. i might have to participate.

i live in a house being renovated so i dust ALL the time. every day. once we're done...i'll dust when i do my once-a-week mopping.

favorite easter candy - robin's eggs. malted chocolate. yum.

No on the shoes, and I agree with you about the colored denim trend! I'm not sure who/what I love more - Anne Hathaway or Sur la Table!

I'm sitting out the colored denim trend too, glad to feel your support on that. Colorado is very dry and dusty, so I dust a couple times a week, which sucks. It's been about 70 degrees here and everyone is running around in their bikini's so I think Coloradans are on drugs in spring too. I'm so pale it's not even funny.

The shoes are a touch aggressive. Not sure I could pull them off.

I feel the same way about my dog, Sweetiepie. I can't believe I've become ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE MADLY IN LOVE WITH THEIR DOG. I know I sound crazy when I talk about her. But I can't stop.

I wouldn't wear those shoes I would either end up hurting myself or hurting someone else, being sued and then lose any money I do have.

ok..confession...we have a doggy bjorn we use when hiking with billy!

rebecca said...

susan-
what?! i didn't know doggy bjorns actually existed. i assumed people just use a regular baby bjorn. i see new yorkers on bikes with their dog in a bjorn. quite the spectacle.

I feel you on the colored jeans trend. Let's wait it out girl!

haha not a fan of the spiky shoes, but more power to those who can pull them off! xo

These are probably my favorite of your posts, RLB. Good stuff.

I couldn't wear those shoes bc they look like weapons and I have a very curious toddler who lately wants to put on our shoes and traipse around the apt. She also begs for me to put lipstick on her when she seems me applying it. San Wiggins in a bjorn would be fabulous except I highly recommend the ergo bc it's better for your back ;-)
I love sur la table AND AH. she is adorable. what did she end up getting? and, yes, NYers are definitely high on life and god only know what else in the spring. we're just so damn excited for the warm weather although this year we really have absolutely nothing to complain about. winter was a massive joke compared to last year and every single one before. even so, we love to complain don't we? x

PS--I'm going to the Met next Tuesday afternoon to see the Cindy Sherman exhibit (and possibly Diego Rivera if I still have time). Care to join me?

I think they look cool, but not that wearable. So nope, I would not get these myself. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like them on someone else necessarily!

I have a naturally super dusty house. so i kind of think what's the point! It's like getting your car washed in the middle of pollen season. it's gonna be yellow, no matter what the paint color actually is. and I LOVE colored denim. but trust me, I get made fun of for wearing them a lot. But I have to wear hawaiian shirts to work, so I already look slightly ridic. Why not add colored pants to the mix, I say!

rebecca said...

rachel-
hawaiian shirts to work? my head is full of ideas as to what your job might be. love your attitude. :)

i'm all about passing the colored denim trend. i really don't want to draw any more attention to junk in the trunk than there already is.

and i never dust. i'm.the.worst.

Those shoes have a particular texture that kind of freaks me out.

I only dust when I see how dusty it is... maybe once a month.

Starbust red jellybeans at easter are right up there with Cadbury eggs. I am glad they are only available once a year.

No on the spiky shoes; I'm a lame ass. But I'm considering a pair of red jeans...
I don't dust, but John does–weekly, I'd say. He's a freak.
Have a fabulous weekend. Don't spend any of it dusting, unless you really like it.

I would have been starstruck seeing Anne Hathaway. Love her. And yesterday I tried on a pair of bright denim...it was bad. Very bad.

Reminds me of Melisa's Monday posts....sigh.

"new yorkers are on drugs in the spring"

Yes. Totally. Also, in the spring, New Yorkers like to rear end each other on the LIE with their cars. Probably because they're on drugs. And the sun is out.

Oy.

,,,"yes", this gal who likes to keep things classic enjoys being a little "edgy" now and again and owns a pair of sam edelman spikey flats (minus a few spikes) similar to the pair in the pic. (featured on my current blog post) jelly belly beans are my fav. dust? me? nah...i leave it to the housekeeper, "him" (smile),,,
