fruits to choose organic.

some fruits and veggies are more contaminated than others. choosing wisely can save you some moola.
top 5 fruits to choose organic (the most contaminated) in no particular order:
1. strawberries
2. apples
3. peaches
4. blueberries
5. grapes
here's a tip: if it has a thick skin (think citrus, pineapple, melons) the edible part is likely to be less contaminated due to it's hard outer shell.

And one of the most contaminated vegetables are bell peppers. If you're going to eat, make sure they're organic.
I just realized how poor my grammar is in the above comment. I need it to not be Monday. You forgive me right?

unforgiveable. also, bell peppers are so hard to find organic. annoying.
Good tips!!! thanks for the heads up!
Such good to remember, especially since I can't stop drooling over all the berries in the market!

Love this. It's SO IMPORTANT! I just copied and pasted it into an email for me and my husband to have when we shop! How scary to think about all those crevices on a strawberry for potential poison!!
this is a great tip!
