a photographer and a chef.

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

a group of artists are invited for dinner by a famous chef. in greeting the photographer, the chef comments "i love your photos, they’re wonderful, you must have a very expensive camera."
the photographer doesn’t reply and walks into the dining room.
after dinner the photographer approaches the chef and says "dinner was sensational, very exquisite flavors, a true work of art, you must have a very sophisticated stove.”

This is my favorite quote and I want to smack it in the peoples face everytime they ask me some stupid question about my equipment. It's the photographer that makes the picture...and you can make the most gorgeous pictures with every camera...I just wish people would finally realize that. I've even had people not hire me because I don't have the newest of newest equipment. It's just plain old stupid.

Love it.

Love this quote! Sometimes people have no idea what they're really saying.

Definitely the talent of the photographer that makes the picture...but you have to admit that good equipment helps!

Same with a chef - hard to make the same exquisite dish over a campfire that you could make on a 6-burner gas range.

I LOVE this "joke". It's honestly the most annoying thing that a photographer could hear.

Ha! This is amazing. And so true. It also irrationally annoys me when people who own fancy DSLRs have absolutely no clue how to use them. Turn off your auto! It really bugs me that people think fancy equipment automatically produces fancy (aka good) photos.

Usually it is best to focus on the closest object and most times the camera will choose the closest large object to focus on, but unfortunately not here. But it is still an amazing capture. Cordially, Edwin Brisbane Wedding Photographers http://tomhallphotography.com.au
