clarity.

i've had a million things on my mind lately and been waking up earlier and earlier because of it. nothing life-changing, just unresolved issues that i can't help but lose sleep over until they get resolved. walking has always given me clarity, though i can't seem to shake it. i've always been a worrier.
i ordered a couple kilim pillow covers on ebay for a change of scenery (thanks to morgan for the tip). retail therapy never hurt anyone.

Oh my gosh - I have totally been having the same thing recently. For me it is going and sitting by a lake, thankfully I live in the city of lakes so I can do that fairly often and sometimes a walk around the lake also helps. There is something so calming about that, which aids to calm my nerves!
Much love,
B
Aw, I hope things clear up for you! Walking does the EXACT same thing for me. I've had friends/collegues find out I'm going to the trail and say, "I'll come with you!" I'm normally a very social person, but that's one thing I stay firm on; I say, "Sorry! That's kind of my alone time..." and it is. I looove it! That's why I'm so envious of New Yorkers....yall get to walk everywhere!
that is such a good idea-hope you sleep better. I've been the same lately...running, list making...trying everything, but the mind still runs and runs at night
i've had the opposite - sleeping later and later. perhaps i'm just taking your extra hours? :)
i love the kilim look. it's on my list to buy when we go to Turkey in September.
as for clarity - long solo runs are where i get my best thinking done!
I wonder if some of us are predisposed to worrying–John never seems to, and I'll stay up all night turning my to do lists over and over again...
Aww I so feel for you... I'm a big worrier too... and busy engaging in a little retail therapy of my own now that you've tipped me off to those pillows!
just wanted to say...thanks for this post!
love your site!
I know the feeling! Hope it gets better!

I totally relate!
I haven't been sleeping either. I blame the heat...and lack of cookies.
retail therapy never heard anyone indeed.
,,,exercise has lots of benefits, keep going, keep the spirit!,,,
I'm a worrier, too. Retail therapy helps. So does chocolate.
Losing sleep is the worst. I've been doing a lot of that lately, too...a combination of worry and excitement really. Oh, and those pillows are awesome!
