labradoodle

i've always been annoyed by the monday people who ask "what'd you do this weekend?" there's so much pressure to come up with a really awesome answer about my mundane (but perfect to me) saturday. sometimes i wanna be all "we went fly fishing, sky diving, kayaking, and then got into this super exclusive club no one even knows about yet."

shake off

that being said, here's what i did this weekend....

summer in nyc
summer in central park
summer in nyc
summer in central park
yura on madison
summer in central park

and since i'm not one to fabricate a perfect weekend through story-telling photos.... we spent the rest of our time doing laundry, grocery shopping at whole foods, catching up on work, and running menial errands around the hood that included buying a two pack of ankle socks.

I always ask that on Mondays and I actually care about the answer -meaning I care about people and not only clothes, I guess

Thank you for saying this-- I hate office small talk and pleasantries. I should just honestly start telling people the truth that I spend most of the weekend getting drunk to forget said job. Ha! Ha! Ha ha ha... *looks around awkwardly*
I'm just a misanthrope :)

Also, I am falling in love with Sam Wiggins.

Hahaha! The last sentence just made my whole day. Long live weekends filled with the normal annoying stuff we do all the time.

Looks like another great weekend in the city....Laundry, ankle socks, walk in the park and all!

Agreed with pleasantries. Small talk at parties is another pet peeve of mine, it tends to be a lot of chit chat to fill time, not to really bond. I tend to have a lot of awkward silence...

Oh but I really do want to know...what you did, that is:) and I also did so much laundry I thought I would go bananas but a photo of it wasn't as appealing...even though photos of Lucia putting on my dirty clothes from a pile of whites were definitely taken (but not shared!) x

i hate it too-becuase sometimes my most loved weekends are ones when it seems (to others) that i didn't do much-do i need to explain a good time to them...?

that is such a loaded question b/c i feel i can never measure up to people's expectations. i'm in love with your dog btw.

I would take this question over "So what do you do" at social gatherings. People are so self-important. Plus, I can usually respond with a bland "oh you know, the usual errands and naps and stuff." I'm known for not making small talk around my office so they stay away ;)

This is PERFECT–I always try to figure out how to say–"John and I had a big fight and I wanted to bang my head against a wall", or "I spent a total of 38 hours in my pjs since Friday" without horrifying people who think I've got my crap together.

Ah Sam is looking as cute as ever - and you too! That outfit is perfect!!

I'm glad you guys had a happy weekend. I think people ask about the weekend because for a lot of people it's the only time they really get to mix things up and do something other than the usual week day stuff. But I totally understand how you could not like it!!

Seriously...it is annoying when people ask that when you can tell they don't care! But I care, and I love the pics! Sam is such a cutie.
