summer- lettuce, beets, green beans, corn, summer squash, eggplant, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes
fall- winter squash, brussel sprouts, pumpkin, leeks, kale, parsnips
winter- root vegetables from storage
ps: vegetables to choose organic and fruits in season.

signed up for my first bountiful baskets csa this week. my basket contained carrots and potatoes (winter), radishes (spring), cucumbers (summer), bananas (not sure), nectarines (spring), apples (fall) and oranges (winter). pretty disappointed that my money went to buying out-of-season veggies. I want the current crops! Next time I'm just going to the farmers market.
