a few photos from a hurricane.

i know you know, but in case you didn't, the east coast is recovering from hurricane sandy. here's a few pre-sandy photos...

when bored, make applesauce, read magazines, give sam wiggins a bath, write a blog post about it, and when you can't take it anymore, go for a pre-sandy walk depending on the current wind speed.

in all seriousness, last night got kinda real and we are lucky to only have snapped cars and trees on our block. i know a lot of people are without power and dealing with water in places it shouldn't be, amongst other horrible situations. hang in there east coast.

I woke up this morning expecting a disaster outside my window but it was calm and quiet. Boston got spared, for sure. Sounds like lower Manhattan wasn't so lucky!

Glad to hear all is well. I have a few friends in NYC and am still really worried as haven't heard anything from them. x

It sounds like it was a great way to escape a couple of days of work or school for most people I know, too. We're watching from afar here in southern Italy, well aware that winter will bring many storms and minor floodings of our house, if it's anything like last year!

So, is the "danger" "clear" now? Obviously there is clean up and water/power issues to deal with....But, are they saying that lovely Sandy has bid her farewells?

Glad to see your post, which told me that you are ok and that you have the power. Keep my prayers to you and the rest of people who were affected by Sandy.
