favorite panini recipes

i recently purchased a panini press and dinner around here has never been easier. i'm gettin all fancy with my sandwiches but i'll mostly use it for gooey grilled cheese with tomato soup when it gets so cold my toes hurt.

you got any panini suggestions? white pizza grilled cheese is my favorite.

We made panini yesterday: prosciutto, mozzarella, basil, and olive oil on Tuscan white bread. They were a hit! And we don't have a panini maker, so we just used a regular frying pan. Worked fine and tasted delicious!

My husband and I were just having a conversation over the weekend about wanting a panini press. We're vegan, but there are still lots of sandwich options using Daiya cheese or no cheese at all. Thanks for the press recommendation!

I cannot wait to have a bit more kitchen space so that I can bring one of these home. So many delicious options!

I am a big fan of the panini. Yet to splurge on one of these babies though. I suggest

1. a little Olive or Chilli oil, Mozzarella, Fresh Basil and Tomatoes
2. Cheddar, fresh Mushrooms, Jalapeños and Tabasco

I love using panini press in cold months! Had mine for a few years now. For ideas try the book called "Panini, bruschetta, crostini" by Viana La Place. It's a beautiful book with plenty of photos and great recipes. :) x

P.S. Although my own fav suggestion may sound boring :), I usually make mozarella or cheddar with mediterranean style chutney or mozarella+roasted bell peppers+chutney+thinly slices salami or pepperoni

One of my favorite combos is brie with thinly sliced apples and Dijon mustard. Delicious! And I wrote about my love for my panini maker right here - http://thetinyhummingbird.blogspot.com/2010/05/few-of-my-favorites.html

My husband LOVES grilled cheese, so we make it a lot. Thank you so much for giving me new ideas to try! This is a great collection.

I love to eat our grilled cheese with the roasted red pepper tomato soup from Trader Joes. Man that stuff is good.
