nyc fire escape

milder temps led us out of the apartment to run a few errands at rock center and take a stroll downtown. i have this urgent sense to be outdoors as much as possible before mid-december comes and i turn into a grumpy cold witch.... cause i will, and i do. i always bring my camera when we make the occasional rock center jaunt, but every photo ends up like a tourist brochure. ed spotted rihanna getting out of an escalade and i came home with a fever and a quart of peanut butter pinkberry.

you know that feeling when you detect your body is taking a downward spiral but, perhaps, if you just ignore it, you won't actually get sick? reminds me of the friends episode when monica tries to convince chandler she's not sick by seducing him in her ratty bathrobe. you know you wanna watch it.

i threw some elbows for this pic, but how could you not?! the singing pup was a crowd pleaser.

A singing pup? Worth some elbows! Rihanna was the musical guest on SNL, so makes sense you saw her. It gets dark way too early now!

I know you don't love Rock Center...but it is just SO NY. I haven't been to the top of the rock in about a million years and I've been itching to go. If for no other reason than it's just so inspiring to watch the city from above...so alive. oh and rhianna was on snl this weekend. I watched the first song and then shut it off. They did some bizarre green screen thing behind her while she was singing. I feel like they could do a skit about it on the show. it was a little ridiculous.

These photos made me happy and sad all at the same time. Sometimes I get so homesick for New York, and it often comes from reading your blog!

3pm! Really? That's nuts. We're on about 4pm in London, I thought that was bad. I feel for you.

Love this post! I lived in NYC for about 6 weeks in the Spring of this year. I came home to 'figure my life out' and have been itching to move back up there. This post makes that itch a little more prominent! Beautiful!
