a long winter walk is as essential as a long winter nap, though this jaunt may have taken it to the next level. it started with a walk to rockefeller center (from the upper west side), and then lead to "let's keep walking", and before you know it we're in chelsea. i don't take as many photos during these dreary months because i struggle to find beauty and color in anything, nor do i want to take my hands out of my pockets. that's not a complaint, just, well, the dang truth. but you know what? it is what it is and come spring you'll be tired of flower photos. soak in the gloomy greys! remember eeyore? i think i owned every eeyore stuffed animal imaginable.

Love the cement truck photo bomb! And the Flatiron building photo. Nothing like a nice, long walk to chase the greys away.
i love eeyore and have so many eeyore toys too.
cannot wait to say goodbye to january.
Sometimes the colors you would never notice in any other month becomes so much more vibrant during those gray winter days. Nice photos.
I love your boots. For me, the hardest thing this time of year is just getting out the door. Once I get outside and start walking/moving, I'm fine. The first step is the hardest!
That photo of you laughing/smiling made me smile! :)
You look so chic it almost hurts.
LOVE these pics! You've made me miss my beloved NYC so much!!! I can see my Graduate School in one of your pics. :)
I hate to be the person who asks where I can buy all the things, but I'd love to know where you got that coat. I've been looking for a double breasted, belted long grey/black coat since it got cold to no avail...
good ole eeyore!
angharad-
i love that person! ha. it's from jcrew a few years ago.
Love pictures like this! There is soooo much to take in. :)
Thanks Rebecca! Yup, one of my pet peeves about instagram - the barrage of "where'd you get that...X" - and I have become it ;)
Yay, finally a photo of you smiling! You look great. x
I always identified with that sad little donkey as well. Here's to an early spring! ;)
i love long winter walks. my personal record is on new year's day 2012 - i went from hell's kitchen down to chinatown. it was wonderful.
I love long winter walks, especially with no clear purpose or any start or end. So refreshing. Also, wow about walking all that way, kind of amazing.
Beautiful!
