keri russell worishofers

while not exactly high fashion, the cute and ridiculously comfortable german-made worishofers are a favorite of mine. i keep seeing photos of keri russell wearing hers and apparently michelle williams is a fan too. i'm clinging to my brooklyn resident celebs for fashion influence even though i'm pretty sure my sweet old lady neighbor has a pair. the insole was originally made by a podiatrist, so, yeah, they're easy on the feets.

ps: city sandals.

I *always* think of that exact picture of Kerri Russel (on the left) whenever I am tempted to buy a pair of orthopedic sandals. I'm thinking about a pair of Birkenstocks this summer, but I like that the Worishofers have a bit of a heel.

Those sandals really aren't that awful, especially in the tan and nude colors. I would totally wear them if I lived in NYC and walked everywhere.

Love these! I actually love some of Dansko's sandals—I have their sapphire sandal in two different colors and lived in them all last summer.

I looovveee my worishofers (and so does my mom, who has the same pair). Can't wait until the weather warms up and I can break them out again.

,,,when i look at the photos of keri and michelle i gaze top to bottom and say; "looks great, looks good, never" (when my eyes meet their feet) i guess i'm the only commenter thus far that wouldn't be caught dead in them. different strokes (shoes) for different folks,,,

I found the title of this post HYSTERICAL! It's a good thing that these and most modern comfy shoes don't have that orthopedic or elderly woman look. Selma Blair also wears really comfy shoes(although she lives in California and drives everywhere). But Selma's shoes are not very good looking,ha! I wonder if these are really comfortable?? Lately, I can't find comfy shoes..especially those that are supposed to be comfy..like Clarks,Naturalizer and Easy spirit..they are awful.

I actually just ordered these after reading your post. I remember my mom wearing these type of shoes back in the 80's and I love them! Just couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere until now. Thanks!

I also want her big floppy hat.

They do look equally nice and comfortable, and to me, comfort always wins. the most beautiful shoes will never look good paired with a face that's contorted with pain.

It's odd, though, that I can't seem to find them online, neither here in Austria nor in Germany. Maybe the firms main sales market is in the US?
