warm night cream on top of your hand before applying

i guess most anything qualifies as a night cream so long as you slather it on at night. whether you're using an anti-wrinkle product with retinol (i love this one) or a heavy duty moisturizer, warm the cream on top of your hand before applying.

rather, pinch a dollop of cream onto the top of your hand and from there apply it to your face. it's much easier to work with (night creams can be a bit thick) and your hands will garner the benefits as well. props to you if you're ambidextrous. for the rest of us, don't forget the other hand!

ps: be sure to slather night cream on your neck as well to avoid the whole 30-year-old face atop a 60-year-old neck situation.

A little secret? If I manage to drag myself out of bed before sunrise for a morning jog and it's still freezing cold in April, a pin-prick bit of "night cream" is great in the morning, too.

And don't tell me about the 60-year-old neck! *fingers in ears, humming*

Thanks for the tip! I have very sensitive skin so I avoid most facial creams especially the ones with parabens, perfumes and other harsh chemicals. I wash my face with a fragrance free mild soap. Twice a week I use organic apple cider vinegar and moisturize with a bit of organic coconut oil. What do you use to wash your face?

I have been using Hope in a Jar for awhile and I feel like I need more help at night, so I will have to pick this up and try it. I love Philosophy products also for my sensitive skin.

This is such a genius tip–and more encouragement to get off my butt and pick up a jar of eye cream!

do you have sensitive skin? Does the help me give you any issues?

debbie-
my skin is a bit sensitive but i've been using retinol products for a while. helps to use it every other day for a bit to counter dry skin.

I went out and bought RoC retinol after I saw you recommend it! I've developed "brains traces" as I call them on my forehead, and I want to nip that in the bud!!

I like to use aloe vera gel as a brow gel. It has better ingredients and is a great alternative to store brands full of chemicals, and it doesn’t make me break out. http://24healthbeautytips.com/
