blu dot coat rack

i guess i still have entryways on the mind as our every day shoes pile up in the hallway and coats get thrown over a chair. depending on the season, i wear the same coat everyday and i'm constantly to-ing and fro-ing in and out of the apartment. i swear i daydream about throwing my coat, scarf, and bag on some sort of entryway system.

though i have to think that a wall-mounted system is best for a small space as it keeps the floor uncluttered, blu dot's steel and walnut coat rack is pretty sleek.

what's your front door catch-all solution?

I have hooks on the wall for scarves and coats, but still desperate for a shoe solution. The closet cannot hold them all!

We have a little hook/cubby set up with a small table below it for keys, wallets, phones...it works pretty well!

We don't have a formal "entry area" in our house, so we just made use of the space behind the front door - expanding "hooks" on the wall for coats/bags/whathaveyou, a teeny little table as a "drop spot" and a basket to kick shoes into. It creates some level of organization, but isn't too fussy.

Eames Hang-It-All

Naturally, given my blogging gig, I'm somewhat biased. But we do have one and we do love it. Doesn't do much for shoes though.
