little things.

the daily muse

it's the littlest things that make a house and home and these few items have caught my eye lately. measuring spoons that actually fit in your spice jar and a toilet brush and plunger pretty enough to put on display.

it should be said-- be a decent human being and keep a plunger beside your toilet. no need to embarrass guests when they clog the toilet (with toilet paper of course) and have to go asking YOU for one.

and since i'm not going to end this on talk of plunging toilets, have you seen this video?

ps: modern dish racks too.

It's so fun to decorate a new place. I love your clean, minimalist style...i could learn a thing or two from it!

YES on the handy plunger. It's just cruel otherwise.

couldn't agree more on keeping the toilet plunger by the toilet. i've had quite a few situations where i've had to ask. ha. but i've learned to look for a plunger first, and if no dice, then i will keep the toilet lid open and flush the wads of toilet paper down one at a time (keep them on the back ledge, ha). i actually have a decent looking michael graves one from target that i bought years ago for my toilet downstairs.
