ed returned from south carolina on saturday night (my flight was a bit earlier) and sam and i eagerly waited his arrival, one of us with more patience than the other. no matter how good the food was on vacation, ed and i always reach home craving one thing-- pizza. PIZZA. so heirloom tomato pizza for dinner 'twas.
sam wiggins helped us unpack on sunday morning, which mostly means digging through the suitcase for dirty socks and then dispersing them throughout the house in random places for us to find later. this is also a fun game when visitors come to stay. the dispersing of the socks is then followed by a round of clinginess which lasts for roughly 24 hours.
the usual sunday to-do's ensued-- the making of the egg bagels, laundry, trip to the dog run, farmers' market. a whole lot of nothing and everything all at the same time.
you will find fabric swatches lying around our house at most any given time.
the humidity has dissipated and the scent of autumn is almost palpable. i tend to think too much when the weather turns cooler, and just like clock work, here we go.
