ok, it's not so much an entryway as it is a wall beside the closet, but nonetheless-- a place to hang the things!
a risom stool serves as the get-your-shoes-on station as well as a catch-all solution for the after work handful (packages, dry cleaning, etc). i'm going to refrain from using the phrase "pop of color" because it makes my skin crawl, but well, you get the idea. the red stool stands out in our otherwise mostly neutral apartment and comes in handy when i need to search the cabinet over the fridge. i haven't figured out where winter hats and gloves can be tossed, though a container under the stool might serve well as an accessory catcher. however, i also foresee an open container as an invitation for sam wiggins to kindly sprinkle winter accessories throughout the house.
herman miller recently released a white as well as a black hang-it-all and i was excited to get my hands on one. i love how the hooks discreetly blend into the white walls.
ps: another entryway idea.
