an assortment of holiday gift cards led me to finally purchase eleven madison park chef daniel humm's new book, highlighting farms around the region, local ingredients, and of course iconic dishes such as manhattan clam chowder.
the cookbook is equally dispersed in time-consuming recipes as well as simple dishes that use fresh seasonal ingredients. obviously i gravitate toward the latter as the ham and egg sandwich is already a favorite (minus the ham in my case).
in other food news, i've been itching to try the east pole on the upper east side ever since i saw nicole's gorgeous photos of the place. finally made reservations!
