despite the sound of snow plows on the hour, there are about five minutes after a snowstorm in which the city shuts down and you can hear a pin drop. the morning rush is not so rushed and the sidewalks are filled with snow shovelers and salt.
i woke up around 6:30am to sam wiggins staring me down--NOT because he needs to go to the bathroom, but because somehow he is fully aware that it snowed and we mustn't waste our time with sleeping.
soon after, we headed to the roof-- camera in one hand and a thermos of coffee in the other. mid-air, this guy!
water towers and the hudson river.
a morning well spent. welcome january! who's ready for conversation hearts?
