city bakery's hot chocolate

february is hot chocolate month at city bakery (today's flavor is hi-ho pistachio) and if you've partaken in their famous drink you know that it's nearly equivalent to drinking chocolate ganache. add one of their homemade marshmallows and you have dessert in a mug only to be eaten with a spoon.

that being said, i like a hot chocolate that i can actually drink. linda at the tart tart has done an excellent job of replicating their top secret hot chocolate recipe-- it's a must try! rich, decadent, and drinkable.

I thought I had an infinite sweet tooth, until I tried to drink a city bakery hot chocolate and eat a city bakery warm chocolate chip cookie in the same sitting....

(but i'd do it again in a heartbeat!!)

cheers.

Yum! The photos alone are making me drool. I might have to try that recipe later.

thanks for the kind mention lady! And the reminder about hot chocolate month. I am SO on it once this blizzard thing (is it a blizzard? From my West Coast perspective, it definitely qualifies) blows over.

Happy early Valentine's Day!
