jardin du luxembourg

we stayed in the 6th arrondissement, just a short walk away from the beautiful luxembourg gardens. rather, a short walk to poilâne for apple turnovers on the way to the gardens. paris is quiet, empty almost, during the month of august. the trade-off being that a lot of stores and restaurants we wanted to visit were rightfully closed.

soon after breakfast we journeyed north to montmarte. i didn't bring my camera along on the hike to sacré cœur, though it's forever etched in my brain.

by mid-afternoon we'd stop by a nearby cafe for lunch and a cafe crème, then continue to wander to the next destination on the must-see list.

admittedly the must-see list was filled with mostly eating or shopping of some sort.

Oh, it's too long since I've been to Paris - and I live an awful lot closer to it than you do! Lovely photos, as ever. A serious case of wanderlust has just been added to my lunch break.

How beautiful! I didn't get to see the jardin du Luxembourg when I visited Paris last year, but it's a definite must-see on my next visit (the joy of living in Europe: it allows you to travel there several times to take it all in). Your photos are absolutely stunning, honestly!

A must see outside Paris! An amazing piece of history and great chance to get out of the busy city. Lots of walking, but absolutely worth it! Beautiful!
